THE GREAT HERO FROM THE PAST

I’m going to talk about the great hero from the past, Achmad Soebardjo. Why him? Because when MPLS I got a group called Achmad Soebardjo. He was born in Karawang, West Java, Dutch East Indies at March, 23 1896 and died in Jakarta, Indonesia December, 15 1978 at 82 years old. He is the national hero of Indonesia. He is also the foreign minister of Indonesia. He also became Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia in Switzerland. He is a professor in Institutional History and Diplomacy of the Republic of Indonesia at the Faculty of Literature, University of Indonesia. He got the title Meester in de Rechten which is obtained at Leiden University.

Now I will tell you about his struggle. When he was a student, he is active in fighting for Indonesian independence through some organizations like Jong Java and student union of Indonesia at Netherlands. In February 1927, he became the representative of Indonesia along with Mohammad Hatta first in Brussels and then in Germany. When he returned to Indonesia, he was active as a member of BPUPKI and then PPKI.

At August, 16 1945, youth fighters brought Soekarno and Mohammad Hatta to Rengasdengklok. Its purpose so that they are not affected by Japan. He negotiated and agreed to proclaim Indonesian independence. He also convinces the youth not to be too hasty to proclaim Indonesian independence.

That’s all from me, if there is a mistake please forgive. The wisdom of this blog is you know about our hero Achmad Soebardjo in Indonesia independence.
